CuteGod
CuteGod was a prototyping challenge from Danc of Lost Garden. He graciously provided the graphics and a short design document and this is our result.
The game is still in alpha and is missing a few features. The screen size in full screen mode is (mostly) hard-coded to 1024x768. The settings, high scores, and help screens are disabled. Other than that, it is a functional game, it just needs polish and bug-fixing before it is really done.
You need to download two packages! You need 'cutegod' and 'cutegod-data' otherwise the game won't function properly.
The Story
You are a cute adorable little god. For your second millenium birthday, your parents gave you a universe of your own, to play around with and just have fun. To make it a learning experience, they have populated the world with little boys and girls who send prayers to you, asking you for homes, gardens, and fountains.
Playing the Game
The game is fairly simple. To get a prayer, you click on the heart speech bubbles and then arrange the world to match the layout. You can move the grass, water, and dirt blocks around and if they match the request, something magically appears. Left click picks up blocks, right-click drops them. The golden star shows you were what you are picking up and dropping; if it is red, then you can't pick up or drop at that location.
To return to the main menu, press Escape. To make it full-screen or windows, press "F".
Downloads
The game is current alpha quality. The usual "no warranties" apply. There are two parts of the download. The first is the executable for the game. This changes rather frequently, but is relatively small download. The second is the data file, which doesn't change as frequently. You will need both to play the game. Later, there are plans to make it easier to download the data file.
Remember, at this point, you need to download two different packages.
Game Source and Executables

Graphics, Sounds, and Music
The following are the various data packages. You'll need to download this and unzip it into your program directory. If you have done it right, you'll have the "CuteGod.exe" executable in the same folder as "Assets".
Packages are ones that change the third number. For example, both "0.2.1" and "0.2.2" are patches of "0.2.0". For patches, you need to download the main zip ("0.2.0" in the above case) and each individual patch, then uncompress them in order. In this example, you would download 0.2.0, 0.2.1, and 0.2.2 and then uncompress them into the executable folder in order, overwriting or replacing files.
