While working on Fedran covers, we've stumbled on Nine Degrees Below's LCh color palette and fell in love with it. So much we wanted to use it for both the cover designs and the design on the website. This meant generating slightly differently arranged GPL palette files than what is provided on the link. We also needed CSS variables for our website.
Along the way, things got more complicated and we ended up with this: a Node package that has “design tokens” as generated by Style Dictionary, CSS and Sass variable files suitable for using with Webpack and ESBuild, and a few other bits and bobs.
